Meet Connor Evans, from the outside he looks like go with the flow kind of guy that couldn't have a care in the world, but on the inside he is anything but that. Connor is riddled with depression due to both his parents taking their lives when he was only five. The small boy was mute for quite some time, only really opening back up to people once getting to high school, never really letting his real self being seen, but putting forth this fuckboy persona to try not to get hurt again. Now that he's matured a little bit, he's more open to making friends, but does still tend to hold others at arms length as he gets to know them.

Connor figured if she wanted, he'd sit in her room again the next night. He wasn't uncomfortable sleeping in the chair he had sat in, and dozing in and out knowing she was getting sleep was enough for him. It wasn't like he slept very much most nights. He was content sitting next to her with a book in hand, his dim reading light, lighting the book enough to be able to read without waking her up.

He looked up when she mentioned skipping work, thinking back he tried to remember the last time he'd actually called in. It was unlike Connor to do so unless he was actually quite sick, but he figured one day to just enjoy themselves wouldn't be too bad.

❝ Sure, I think the gym would be fun. Do you think they'll have rabbits in cages or running around?❞  Rabbits he knew, were Briar's favorite animal, he planned to make this day as fun for her as possible, knowing how rough of a time she's been having lately. ❝ We could stop for ice cream after the zoo and maybe have a movie night when we get home?❞ 

He'd go to a haunted house if she really wanted, but Connor didn't handle scary all so well with his past. He squeezed her hand, waiting for her to confirm what she for sure wanted to do throughout the day.

"Hopefully, I like not feeling the walking dead most of the time," Briar mumbled again, her gaze moving around the room, lingering on his face a bit, lingering on their hands, before looking away with a redness that could be ignored as first in the morning wake up. She squeezed his hand again, half tugging him to her.

"... Do you want to skip work with me?"

She spoke quietly, quickly looking back at him before looking away when she asked. It was on a whim, but she felt ok for once. Wasting it on working and whatever classes she had felt stupid.

"We could go to the zoo, or something. See a movie, or go laugh at people who can't ice skate. Haunted house?"

The more Briar spoke, the further she began to pull herself under the covers as she lost her courage a bit. The grip on his hand tightened, as it would when she was hiding that she was afraid.

Ref Sheets 2/?: Crossfire Edition!

Crossfire is about a young man named Jake, who recently got amnesia and is trying to regain his memories. In reality, he's actually an Angel that got cast out of Heaven and put into a Human body as a form of "time out", which is also technically part of a bet some other Angels have going on. Tldr this is the angel/demon story lol.

I wasn't able to draw a lot more characters this time, mainly because they come in later in the story and tbh I'm not 100% sure on their roles n shit yet. Except for Daniel, he appears early on and SHOULD be here but. alas.

🍓- if you’re an introject, what is ur source? (Don’t tell if uncomfortable ofc)

we have a couple introjects so I'll name all of our sources. I of course am Dean Winchester, one of the main characters in Supernatural (it's a nightmare avoiding fandom content on here by the way). Party Poison is from the MCR album/comic book thing? Danger Days. and Connor is one of the main characters in the video game Detroit: Become Human.

🍂 - is your system "heavy" with a certain type of alter? (introject heavy, non-human heavy, little heavy, etc)

we seem to be fictive/introject heavy (with 3 fictives, and Karma who we also consider a fictive since she has her own entire universe that Seb wrote for her). other trends I've noticed: we have three angels, one robot and one cyborg. so there's some non-human themes. most of us are either combat experienced or just used to violence (my source obviously is heavy in that and Poison and Karma have similar stories there. Connor isn't built for fighting but he's capable). last trend I've noticed is that we seem to have more male or masculine members, and the feminine coded members we do have seem to take on roles or identities like those of sisters or mothers.

🥀 How would your OC decorate a notebook or journal? What kind of things are written in there? Could you give an example of a nice entry?

Well, I'm canonizing his Deku notebooks, which are just a collection of notebooks categorizing all the villains and henchies he knows about and their powers and mods, filled with scratchy handwriting and doodles. It fits his, "I'm somehow streetwise but a huge nerd" vibes. I think he gets like... one anime sticker from sticker machines you see at grocery stores and sticks it on the cover and is internal like "heh, yissss" when he sees it and gets his singular molecule of dopamine for the day.

🍂 Does your OC enjoy hugs? What do they do as a show of affection for: their friends, their family, their significant other(s) or for strangers? Over all what are they like with recieving affection from others?

He does not enjoy hugs in because he sees them as a performance that put him on the spot. If he turns down a hug it's going to be awkward, also where does he put his hands now, and his face is way too close to someone else's and how long is he supposed to do this anyway? He doesn't mind other forms of physical affection as long as he knows they are coming on some level (ok with being shoulder bumped, leaned on, arm hooked, hand held etc.). He likes cuddling because it can be as little or as much physical contact as he feels like and it's easier to disentangle himself if he decides he wants or needs to.

💫What is your favourite fact about this character and why?

His first name is just a really common Guy Name and even though he was jokingly named after RK800, the name Conchobhar means "lover of wolves" or "master of hounds" which is fitting given the context of Sidestep as a canonical dog-lover.

Connor was at a loss of what to do today. He didn't have to work and school wasn't in session. The raven had found himself in the park, a book in his hand as he walked through the park by his apartment. He was trying so hard to be one of those people that bird watched, or even people watched, but he was so bored not even ten minutes into it. He simply decided to find a bench near the fountain in the middle of the park, not too close that it was too loud, and bury his face in his book until there was a reason not to.

He was nearly at the end, not wanting to even consider checking his phone to figure out how long he'd been here. It couldn't have actually been that long, knowing how fast of a reader he was. The raven was used to having some form of direction, something going on in his day that he could at least work his schedule around. He knew had he just stayed home today, he would have ended up depressed and not have gotten out of bed, and he wasn't really to put himself in a slump like that.

He looked up at Keith's voice, knowing that it was familiar, but not being able to put a face to the name until the locked eyes. He gave the redhead a smile, scooting over for him to take a set next to him if he so chose to. ❝ I don't mind at all.❞ Connor stated, folding over the corner of the page he was on and closing the book in his hands to give Keith his full attention, ❝ How have you been lately? It's been awhile.❞

Major announcement for 'Heartstopper' season three

Netflix has revealed the release window for beloved queer series Heartstopper. 

Season threee wrapped production in December, and now the streamer has announced the new series will premiere in October.

On X, Netflix shared a synopsis of the upcoming season: “This season, Charlie would like to tell Nick that he loves him. Nick also has something important to say to Charlie.

“As the summer holiday ends and the months race on, the friends begin to realize that the school year will come with both its joys and its challenges.

“As they learn more about each other and their relationships, plan social events and parties and start thinking about university choices, everyone must learn to lean on those they love when life doesn’t go to plan.”

In addition, the streamer shared a behind-the-scenes video of Kit Connor (Nick) and Joe Locke (Charlie).

Nick and Charlie have… It’s started to get a bit more steamy,” Connor teases.

“We’re about to rehearse, but I’ll tell you what, we are about to have a great time.”

“The tension is high. It’s like sexual tension, love, we’re all there.”

Speaking to Netflix Tudum, creator Alice Oseman said that season three will be “more mature” than the previous two seasons.

“Season two ended with Nick beginning to understand the extent of Charlie’s mental health issues, and it’s this that will drive the story through season three,” Oseman said.

“While Heartstopper will always celebrate the joyful and point towards hope, I’m really excited that we are allowing the tone of the show to mature alongside our beloved characters growing up.

“Mental health, sex, university ambitions, and more: Nick, Charlie, and the Heartstopper teens are getting older, learning more about themselves and each other, and experiencing new desires, new fears, and new joys as they approach adulthood.”

This week, Oseman also confirmed that she was working on the sixth and final graphic novel in the Heartstopper series, which the hit show is based on.
